Mike Saxon is the Managing Director and Founder of Storm King Group, LLC, which aims to partner with the most interesting businesses engaging in the most compelling projects, including helping companies build effective leadership teams, providing operations and strategy support for change and growth, educating executive teams on transformative technologies, and embedding important values and ethics in a digital world. Our partnerships run the gamut from early-stage startups to established growth companies.
Mike retired from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his service of over 23 years he served in armor, infantry, and cavalry units, including service in Kandahar Afghanistan in a Stryker reconnaissance squadron. He taught for a total of nine years at the United States Military Academy, West Point, and served as the director of the core ethics education program at West Point, which provides education in ethics and logic and reasoning for 1,100 students annually. He graduated from West Point with a BS in Literature and Philosophy, with a minor in Systems Engineering, and earned an MA and then PhD, both in Philosophy, from Indiana University.
His professional interests include emerging and disruptive technologies; ethics; planning, operations, and strategy; and transformational leadership.
His personal interests include philosophy; technology; cryptocurrency; robotics and drones; driving, automobiles, and motorsports; and photography and videography.
